Pierce Brosnan’s wife of over twenty years, Keely Shaye Smith, is aging beautifully. Fans emphasized that she has defied her age as she marks a milestone into a new decade.
The journalist recently turned 60 years old, and her famous husband paid a heartfelt tribute to her on his social media alongside a picture of the beaming couple.
The photo showed the Irish actor and the writer posing in front of roses as they held hands. He had his arm wrapped around her shoulder. Brosnan, who expressed that he was happy and blessed to have met the mother of his kids, wrote:
“Sixty roses for my brown-eyed girl on her 60th birthday.”
Fans were in awe to learn that Smith, who is ten years younger than her spouse, is now in her sixties. One Instagram follower commented, “She’s 60? Oh my god, she’s beautiful,” alongside heart emojis.
Someone else penned, “[…] She does not look 60 at all!!!! Maybe a happy marriage is the reason? They seem to have a great one.” While a third person stated, “That’s sweet and she’s beaming. I am not giving her 60. How about 40ish?”
Brosnan Gushes over His Wife Online – Inside Their Love Story
Brosnan has shown how in love he is with his beloved wife. In April 2020, the “GoldenEye” star posted a throwback image of the happy couple widely smiling and penned:
“My darling angel heart, Keely, thank you for bringing such love and beauty into my life.”
Brosnan further thanked the brunette beauty for bringing him happiness in the 26 years that they have been together, calling her his “brown-eyed girl” again.
Smith and Brosnan met in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in 1994. At the time, she worked as a television correspondent and was sent to interview another actor, Ted Danson.
However, when Danson was called away, Smith crossed paths with her future husband, Brosnan, at a party. She recalled meeting the movie star for the first time and admitted she was instantly attracted to him, “I thought, ‘Wow! Wow!'” said Smith once in an interview.
The pair went on their first date a few days later and have been together ever since. They welcomed their first child together, son Dylan, in 1997 and had their second son Paris in 2001.
A few months after their youngest child’s arrival, Brosnan and Smith walked down the aisle in August 2001 and have been married for 22 years.
“I found a great woman in Keely Shaye,” said the Hollywood star. His spouse also raved about him, saying, he is smart, charming and that the veteran film producer’s “beauty emanates from the soul.”
Brosnan, 70, found happiness with Smith two years after his first wife, actress Cassandra Harris, died of cancer. The pair share three children, Christopher, Sean, and Charlotte, the latter of whom also sadly died from cancer.
