Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are one of the music industry’s most iconic couples, but the beginning of their relationship wasn’t ideal. Both with successful careers, they’re superstars in their own rights, and their circumstances allowed them to meet.
Hill met McGraw at the Country Radio Seminar showcase for new artists in 1994. McGraw had a girlfriend then, but he admitted experiencing love at first sight when he met the “There You’ll Be” songstress.
Hill wasn’t looking for love at the time. However, she had just separated from her husband of six years, music publishing executive Daniel Hill.
It took two years before McGraw and Hill crossed paths again. This time, it led to something more significant – one that changed the course of their lives forever.
In 1996, McGraw and Hill were on tour together when they fell in love. At the time, the former had just gotten out of a relationship, while the latter was engaged to her ex-producer, Scott Hendricks.

The pair married shortly after the tour and welcomed their first child Gracie Katherine, in May 1997. Their second daughter, Maggie Elizabeth, was born in August 1998, and their youngest, Audrey Caroline, was born in December 2021.

And now, after almost three decades of marriage, the couple remains strong. Hill, at 55, is living her best life as a country crooner, wife, and mother.

Hill and McGraw were on the cover of People Magazine in December 2021. When they first unveiled the cover, people focused on Hill, who didn’t look like herself.
Users claimed she got a nose job, which they thought was evident on the magazine cover. They said they couldn’t recognize the singer and had to do a double take.
Aside from her alleged nose job, other fans slammed the actress for the strangely unnatural shape of her jaw. They claimed she had a jaw job, as she looked nothing like she did back when she was a younger artist.
One internet user went so far as to comment how “1883’s” casting was so off by choosing Hill. She looked like she went under the knife, something people during the 1800s would not have been able to do.
“I’m supposed to believe Faith Hill’s jaw existed in 1883?” the comment said. It implied that Hill had plastic surgery, which did not exist in the period the show was set.
It wasn’t just one or two fans who noticed the singer’s change in appearance. Many others chimed in, saying they did not recognize her in “1883,” and couldn’t help but notice how she “destroyed her face.”
The same fans wondered what had gotten into Hill. They claimed she was once “really pretty” and didn’t need plastic surgery to begin with.
Hill once shared that she ignores her signs of aging because she doesn’t want her daughters to notice her doing so.
Even amid the criticism, many fans have stood by Hill and have defended her from the backlash. Besides her “beautiful” appearance in her mid-50s, one fan commented that she was an all-around person.
One fan also couldn’t help but notice her beautiful curly locks on the cover of People Magazine. She commended the singer-actress for embracing her natural curls in their photoshoot.
The “Breathe” singer once shared that she ignores her signs of aging because she doesn’t want her three girls to notice her doing so. According to the singer, confidence is key when it comes to beauty.
“The secret is being confident with your age, with yourself. Life is so precious. We only have one; what’s the point of stressing about all that?” she shared.
Despite being confident in herself, Hill couldn’t help but admit that social media takes a toll on her, especially when people criticize her for her looks. She said:
“Social media can be so cruel, but we’ve always emphasized the importance of having a realistic take and a healthy view regarding beauty to our girls. They know it’s not just on the outside.”
Rather than focusing on one’s appearance, McGraw and Hill have chosen to teach their daughters about inner beauty instead. They’ve taught them that people see their hearts through their facial expressions and how they carry themselves – they can see their happiness through their faces.

While looking back at their music videos together during a video he posted on Valentine’s Day, he couldn’t help but blush. “I’m always intimidated making videos with Faith because she is just so beautiful,” he said of his wife as he watched.
He mentioned Hill’s beauty more than once in the clip, comparing how great she looked to his seemingly outrageous fashion choices. In the video, he wore a large cowboy hat, which he wouldn’t be caught dead wearing nowadays.
McGraw has constantly spoken highly of his wife through the years. He thanks God for her daily and once revealed that they continue to be united in love, dates, and joint prayer sessions.
